Railcards: Discounted Train Travel

Railcards offer discounts on eligible train fares, typically 1/3 off, subject to the card’s conditions. The 16–17 Saver offers 50% off eligible fares.

If you regularly travel by train, alone or with family or friends, investing in a Railcard could give you great savings in the long run!

How does it work?

Most of the listed one-year Railcards cost £35, with selected three-year cards costing £80. The Disabled Persons Railcard costs £20 for one year or £54 for three years. Not every card has a three-year option; check the current price and terms before buying.

You can purchase a Railcard online or at any National Rail staffed ticket office. You can book your train tickets online or in person, but in order to qualify for a reduced rate ticket you must be able to present your Railcard during your journey.
